Hampton Storytelling Festival will be hosting a Local Storyteller Showcase on Saturday, July 20, 3 – 4:30 pm at Hampton Baptist Church, 40 Kings Way, Hampton, VA.  We are looking for people to participate in the Showcase.  If you are from the Hampton Roads area, have a story and/or spoken word that has no profanity or gratuitous sexuality and is maximum 8 minutes in length, we’d love for you to contact us.  Contact us via email (see below), and provide:  name, city of residence, phone number, name of piece, short summary and a length.  We only have limited space and will notify people to be participants by June 30, 2024.  Preferences will be given to those who live in Hampton and those who have previously attended a Storytelling Academy or the monthly Hampton Story Swap.  Send submission via email to Jay Johnson, Janice.johnsonva@gmail.com, or, Sheila Arnold, sheilaarnold39@aol.com.
